Hi all yes i am doing another coffee shop journal and I am back here again after a little while.
How is everyone doing lately?
As it is mentioned in the title, I will share one coffee shop i found another town close to my town!!
Since I am unemployed at the moment, I have some time to use effectively.
One of of the things I have been doing is to go to loads of coffee shops and discover as many coffee flavours as possible. Also, to meet more people who are involved in the coffee industry. Thats surely what I like doing!
When I find coffee shops, I normally use Google and search for specialty coffees in particular areas, but with this one, the way I found was different!
I was on my way back from stations to our house the other day, I drove past this coffee shop! It literally popped up out of nowhere!
Mostly because I wasn't expecting there would be any coffee shops around that area.
So I was like 'what!!' and the shop looked really cool, I quickly memorasied the name of the shop and went on Instagram if there was one.
Then I found it , was checking pics they posted and I decided to go there few days after!
It is called ' Samurai Coffee"

Address ; 441 Sojamachi, Ueno, Maebashi, Gunma 371-0851
Website ; www.samuraicoffee.jp/

Look how cool the entrance looks! It looks amazing! As you can tell from the name 'Samurai' The them of this shop is based on samurai therefore, the logo design is inspire by the katana sword with a drop of coffee. I think the logo is really well-designed and idea is cool! They had there Katana handles on the entrance doo to open!
The guy told me he wanted make the coolest coffee shop in the world that is his main aim of this place!
Once you walk in, you see the roaster on your right side where they roast coffee on site!
The guy was saying that they mostly offer dark roast with several single origin coffee options as well as their house blend roast.
One thing that surprised me is that they only serve V60 pour over coffee in terms of coffee also has a soft drink fro non coffee-drinkers.
It is not a huge, spacious shop with loads of tables and seats, but it is decent.

On the other side of the shop, it's got the retail shelf, selling pour over kits and coffee related products!
I was thinking of buying coffee beans instead of drinking a coffee there, so I dont have a photo of coffee.
Also I didn't get the pic, but they use so many v60 brewers around each of the light bulb
as interior which i was quite impressed about!!

I deciced to take their house blend as I wanted to test their blend!! It seems like they change the blend every season. This one is designed for Autumn!
I actually sadly forgot what is in the blend.
I found the taste really, bold, earthy like classic, strong dark roasted coffee with bit of chocolate note at the end.
Overall, it wasnt my normal coffee choice, but I surely enjoyed the new experience!
I will try to sit in to drink the coffee next time!! Maybe I will buy different beans next time as well!
I will see you all with a new post!!
Cheers! Y
