Little Darling Coffee : Brewathome No, 11

Hello people!!

It is my day off from work today and Happy frinday everyone!!

But I will be doing another brew at home post to share on this page

since I opened a new coffee bag from the third online coffee fest.

The last one was a classic Ethiopian washed coffee and the one I would like to

introduce to you today is Kenyan Coffee!!!

I will mention proper detail about the origin later on this post.

so anyways, as it is stated on the title, today's roaster i wanna talk about is

called 'Little Darling Coffee Roasters' !!!!

Address : 1 Chome -12-32 Minamiaoyama, Minato City, Tokyo, 107-0062, Japan

Yes!! If you have a good memory, you must be wondering you have shared this place before. And the answer is yes, so I thought for a moment that I didn't have to talk their coffee again!

But this time, I tried a different coffee and this is part of this whole series of online coffee fest, so I might as well talk about this as well!

And it is different situation, too compared to when I actually visited the roastery to try their coffee!

So, here is more information of the origin about the coffee.

Country : Kenya

Region : Nyala Estate, Kiambu

Process : Washed

Variety : Not found on the website

I have watched the Insta Live the roaster guy did with a good coffee represent man where he explained the recipe for this particular brew!

Here is what he told the viewers!!

Dose : 15g

Yield : 250g

( Pour 25g of hot water to bloom

Then let it bloom for 30secs,

Pouring up to 110g with a circular motion by 1 mins 10 sec

After that, Add hot water until it hits 250g.

Drown down by 2. 10 mins )

Brew Temp : 92 c

Brew Time : 2. 10 mins

Grind size Medium.

I did follow this recipe with 1/16 ratio. This is a new approach for me as I normally use 1:2 for bloom phase which in this case only only 25g of water for 15g of beans.

There you go guys! The brewed cup!!

I really like drinking Kenyan coffee in general because i like how juicy it is and it is normally considered to have bright acidity!!

This one however is roasted for medium, so it didn't have bright, sort of exotic fruity acidity at least to my taste. still has a citrusy notes and quite caramel like sweetness to the end!!

It tasted slight bitter than Kenyan coffee I normally like to drink which is light roast.

But overall, it was a good coffee, I kinda wanna try this with my normal brewing recipe I applied to other coffees, it might taste differently!!

So I will try that on the next 15g!!

It is time for me to get back to work this weekend so i will be off from here for the weekend!

I am gonna say thanks for your time and see you all next week!!

Cheers!

Y
